Natus Vincere have booked their place in the grand final of the Counter Pit League Season 2 Finals after beating Virtus.pro 2-0 (16-14 on de_overpass and 16-12 on de_train).

Day two of the Counter Pit League finals began with a clash between Virtus.pro, who had looked somewhat lively against Immunity the day before, against Natus Vincere, who had surprisingly been forced to a third map by FlipSid3 Tactics in the opening round of the tournament.

Starting off on the Terrorist side of Overpass, Natus Vincere picked up the pistol round and the following anti-ecos to take a 3-0 lead. After buying up, Virtus.pro picked up two rounds in a row, but Na`Vi hit back right after to set the score at 4-2. The Polish team knew that if they lost the following round their economy would be severely damaged, and Filip "NEO" Kubski went huge with the AWP and won a 1vs3 clutch with three fast kills inside A.

Virtus.pro went to take the next five rounds, bringing the scoreline to 8-4, when their streak came to an end after Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev racked up two crucial kills with a flank attempt. Still, the CIS-based team were unable to capitalise on that round win, with Virtus.pro taking a convincing 10-5 half-time lead.

Na`Vi move on to the grand final

The Polish team grew their lead by winning the pistol round and the first anti-eco round, but they were caught off guard by Na`Vi's eco push in the third round, with Egor "flamie" Vasilyev picking up three headshots. What followed was a highly-contested period of the game in which rounds went back and forth until Virtus.pro made it 14-7. That is how far Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas's men would go, however, as Na`Vi racked up nine rounds in a row to seal a 16-14 victory and get the lead in the series.

Train began with Na`Vi once gain looking the brighter of the two sides as they stormed to a 3-0 lead, but the impetus of the game changed in gun rounds. With all close rounds going their way, Virtus.pro had a crushing control of the economy, which allowed them to head into the break up 9-6.

In the second half, Na`Vi got off to a flying start and won the first seven rounds to take a 13-9 lead. Virtus.pro still tried to respond, but all they accomplished was three rounds as their opponents battled to a hard-fought but well-deserved 16-12 win.
